Inflation in Brazil Dips Again and Moves Into Target Range
Inflation in Brazil declined again in November, moving back into the central bank’s tolerance range for the first time in more than a year, just as policymakers prepare for their final meeting of 2025.
Official figures showed annual inflation eased to 4.46% compared with the same month last year, slightly below the median estimate of economists, signaling easing price pressures.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.18%, pointing to a slower pace of increases and highlighting the impact of tighter monetary conditions on inflation.
Economists say the renewed moderation in inflation strengthens expectations that the central bank will keep interest rates unchanged as price stability improves.
